Apple is Reportedly Designing Its Own Chips for MacBook
Apple is reportedly developing a new chip which is specifically for the Mac laptops, and used to boost battery life, and also get more independence from Intel chips.
Bloomberg said that Apple is now working on designing a chip for Mac laptops, which contains some basic functions like improving the battery life while in sleep mode, installing updates and checking for email. This chip is said to be similar to the ARM-based one which has been used to power the Touch Bar in MacBook Pros in 2016. And the new chip is also reportedly designed a low-power mode function, which allows the machine to conserve power and get a boost in battery life.
